Grants.gov will accept applications through 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on the application deadline listed in a Notice of Funding Opportunity.
IMLS allows an extension of a grant application deadline for up to 14 calendar days for adversely affected applicant organizations that are located in counties listed on Emergency Declarations and/or Major Disaster Declarations. An affected organization must, by end of the extended deadline, submit a completed application including a statement from its Authorizing Official that:
- Cites the specific Emergency Declaration and/or Major Disaster Declaration that applies to the county in which the applicant organization is located (see FEMA’s listing of Declared Disasters; and
- Affirms that the applicant organization was unable to meet the original application deadline because of the emergency or disaster.
This statement should be prepared as a Supporting Document and uploaded as part of the application submitted through Grants.gov.
