Museums for America (MFA) is the largest IMLS grant program for museums. In 2009 and 2010, RMC Research Corporation carried out an independent evaluation of the program and found that it has had an immediate and sustained impact on museum users.

The Institute of Museum and Library Service's Fiscal Year 2012 Appropriations Request to the United States Congress

This report marks the fourth release of library statistics data from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). It contains data on state library agencies in the 50 states and the District of Columbia for Fiscal Year (FY) 2009. The data were collected through the State Library Agencies (StLA) Survey, the product of a cooperative effort between the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA), IMLS, and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Summary Report and Recommendations of the Workshop on Next Steps in Research, Education and Practice, that was held in London on June 26, 2010, and cosponsored and organized by the University College London Department of Information Studies and IMLS.
