On May 17 the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens took part in Jamie Oliver's global Food Revolution! Phipps, Let's Move Pittsburgh, and Food Revolution Pittsburgh presented a day of activities for all ages to raise awareness about the importance of good food and better food education.  The fun included family activities such as healthy cooking demos, a walking challenge for kids, and more — all free with conservatory admission. Café Phipps Chef Stephanie Gelberd prepared a basic Pico De Gallo recipe that she used to make Pineapple Salsa, Corn and Black Bean Salsa and Mango Avocado Salsa. All attendees received samples and healthy baked tortilla chips.
