Statement from IMLS Director on Agency Plan for Appropriations Lapse

Washington, DC--As many of you are aware, annual funding for the Federal Government expires at midnight on September 30.  I want to provide you an update on our planning for operations in the event that there is a lapse in appropriations. 

As a result, we have made the IMLS plan for Agency Operations in the Absence of Appropriations (PDF, 98KB) available on our website. This document provides information on how staff, current and potential grantees, contractors, organizations with cooperative agreements, and others would be affected should a funding lapse occur.
