Historic St. Mary's City

Historic St. Mary’s City Commission will assess a portion of its archaeological collections, which include artifacts from the seventeenth century through postcolonial times. Project staff, along with a contracted conservator, will conduct a condition assessment of the collection, as well as catalog and rehouse objects. The condition assessment will guide future conservation of the collection. Staff will use collections for educational programming and exhibits about the material culture of the early Atlantic World as well as the impact that European settlers and the local Native American tribes had upon one another.
