Eastern New Mexico University (Blackwater Draw Museum)

The Blackwater Draw Museum at Eastern New Mexico University will update its inventory and rehouse material from the Blackwater Draw archaeology site, which documents cultural activity from Clovis times (over 13,000 years ago) through the recent historic period. The collection includes artifacts, stone tool technology, documents, and photos from the last 94 years of research at the site. This project will preserve approximately 2,790 artifacts, 870 photograph negatives, and 1,356 35 mm negative film strips. Staff and student employees will update collections records with associated photographic documentation.
