Buffalo Bill Center of the West

The Buffalo Bill Center of the West will improve the storage conditions and accessibility of the collections of the Buffalo Bill Museum, Whitney Western Art Museum, and Cody Firearms Museum that include posters, handbills, firearms, and stagecoaches. Informed by a previous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to conduct a study of the storage space, the project will improve the environmental condition of the collections storage space as well as increase the accessibility of the collections for staff. Staff will work with a conservator to rehouse objects in the collection with archival storage materials and temporarily relocate the collection while the storage space receives new collections cabinetry.
