Capital City Museum

The Capital City Museum will rehouse its collection of approximately 20,000 objects documenting the history of Frankfort and Franklin County, Kentucky. Museum staff will inventory and rehouse collections in archival-quality containers and with storage furniture as well as purchase a freezer for mold mitigation. Project activities will mitigate risks and prolong the useful life of collections, which the museum shares with the public through exhibits and educational programming. Following the completion of the project, the museum will offer visitor tours of storage areas to promote education about collection stewardship.
