Independence Community College

Independence Community College will create and make publicly accessible a comprehensive online catalog of archival assets featuring significant playwrights, performing artists, and original manuscripts from the William Inge collection. The collection includes two focus areas: over 400 works written and created by playwright and screen writer William Inge and approximately 400 recorded interviews with leading playwrights and stage artists who have taken part in the William Inge Theatre Festival. William Inge (1913-1973) was an award-winning writer whose work was primarily set in small towns. Once complete, the online resource will increase public accessibility to historic materials related to theatrical writers and performers.
