Cabin Creek Center for Work and Environmental Studies

The Cabin Creek Center for Work and Environmental Studies will use funds to conserve and preserve the Barbara Kopple collection of documentary films. The collection includes hundreds of reels of raw 16mm footage, work prints, and audio tracks, which will later be archived by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.  A Cabin Creek Center staff member and a preservation consultant will travel to identify, catalog, conduct condition assessments, and classify the films in preparation for the transfer and archiving of the materials at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
