Pacific Submarine Museum
Log Number: ST-252537-OMS-22
The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum will conduct preservation activities to maintain the USS Bowfin, which was utilized in the World War II submarine fleet and received its status as a National Historic Landmark in 1986. The museum will arrange for the vessel to be dry-docked, after towing it from its current location in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The project will include painting, cleaning, and ensuring the watertight condition of the submarine's hull. The repairs will improve the physical integrity of the hull and the safety of the vessel for public exhibition and visitation.
