Wharton Esherick Museum

The Wharton Esherick Museum will undertake the conservation of works on paper and related archival materials of Wharton Esherick, a foundational figure in twentieth-century contemporary craft and American Modern design. Following a recent conservation survey of the museum’s archival collections and works on paper, museum staff will work with a conservation team to coordinate the treatment and rehousing of objects in the collection, including sketches, prints, pastels, and watercolors. Once treatment of the objects in the collection is completed, staff will update collection records, and stabilized objects will be utilized for future research purposes.
