The College of New Jersey

The College of New Jersey will undertake a project to process, rehouse, and describe approximately 200 linear feet of unprocessed materials documenting the history of the College, which was founded as New Jersey State Normal School and is the second oldest teacher training college in New Jersey. The collections include materials demonstrating how teaching pre-elementary, elementary, and secondary students in the United States has changed over time. For the project, a newly hired project archivist and graduate assistant will work with staff to digitize archives and migrate data to a new server. As a result of the project, digitized materials will be made available through an online collections hub for public use.
