Cradle of Aviation Museum

The Cradle of Aviation Museum and Education Center will implement updates to the lighting of their exhibited aircraft and spacecraft as part of its collections conservation plan. The project addresses damage to artifacts and exhibits caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light and heat sources as well as deterioration caused by organic growth. Museum staff will coordinate the installation of efficient lighting to improve environmental conditions in the collection exhibition area as well as the environmental sustainability of the facility. By undertaking these activities, the museum will mitigate future light and temperature damage to the collection and improve the visibility of exhibited objects for museum visitors.
