Friends of Timberline

The Friends of Timberline will conserve selected works of original art created for Timberline Lodge under the Works Progress Administration (WPA) from 1936-1938. The collection includes works in a variety of media, such as bas relief carvings, mosaics, paintings, metal work, lithographs, and carved linoleum. The collection has deteriorated due to exposure to varying temperatures and humidity, UV light infiltration, and increased visitation. The project will include stabilization and conservation of hand-carved wooden newel posts, linoleum panels, wooden decorative panels, and marquetry panels.
