The Arizona State Museum will preserve its Anthropological Photograph Collection, which documents 13,000 years of human occupation, ingenuity, and artistry in what is now the American Southwest, from ancient times to the present. Containing more than 525,000 photographic prints, negatives, and transparencies, and more than 250 movie films, the collection illustrates milestones in American archaeology and anthropology. This project will consolidate the collection into a single, climate-controlled storage facility that will allow improved access to and inhibit deterioration of the collection.
