American Library Association (Young Adult Library Services Association)
Log Number: RE-98-17-0006-17
In partnership with the Chief Officers of State Library Agency, Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) will convene a national forum of state library youth service consultants to better understand their specific professional development needs and inform future training efforts for and with them, as well as the frontline library staff they serve in their states. This year-long effort will leverage both in-person and virtual discussions and will involve participants from all 50 state library administrative agencies. YALSA will develop a position paper that includes a national agenda outlining professional development priorities for teen services in public libraries and a call to action for state library administrative agencies and continuing education providers.
