Educopia Institute

The Educopia Institute will study, evaluate, and document sustainability scenarios for digital curation and preservation curricula developed with grant funding. Such projects often struggle to keep grant-funded materials available and up to date following the conclusion of the grant period. The project will convene leading continuing education (CE) stakeholders, including trainers, hosts, and administrators of digital curation and preservation training programs, to develop a shared vision for expanding and supporting digital curation and preservation training. Activities include an environmental scan, two facilitated meetings, and a sustainability report. The report will give recommendations for how open resources developed in grant-funded projects can be maintained, updated, and replicated for ongoing use. The project will increase and promote communication between stakeholders, improving their knowledge of each other's offerings and fostering a network of support.
