During a one-year planning process, the San Jose School of Library and Information Science will partner with the Association of College and Research Libraries, the Public Library Association, the Urban Libraries Council, and OCLC to explore a unique new residency program model for recent master of library and information science graduates. Catalysts for Emerging Technology Integration: Exploring a New Model for Library Residency Programs is aimed at building a scalable and replicable residency program model that will help new librarians and library leaders integrate emerging technology in diverse types of libraries. With input from technical advisors, the five partners will conduct a targeted needs assessment, develop the residency program model, and prepare to pilot and evaluate the model.
