The Consortial Collaboration for Academic Library Leadership Success (CCALLS) project will engage library consortia in establishing a national continuing education program to develop academic library workers’ assessment skills. The “CARLI Counts” curriculum is a strong foundation for such training, but its replication and scaling nationwide requires self-examination of capacity at each individual participating consortium. This examination is kicked off with a community dialogue and then guided and supported through a design seminar. By the end of the project, consortia nationwide will have a greater awareness of their own capacity to provide assessment training to their members and the potential benefits of pursuing a national-scale program through consortial collaboration. Ultimately, CCALLS aims to enable library consortia to work together to propagate assessment training for academic library workers throughout the U.S., benefiting academic libraries and their institutions by directly supporting their students and faculty.
