Log Number: RE-254892-OLS-23
To support the health information needs of formerly incarcerated individuals, Dr. Megan Threats at the University of Michigan will research the social determinant of health-related information needs and practices of individuals navigating reentry after incarceration. In partnership with the Library of Michigan, the Library Network, the Michigan Department of Corrections Offender Success Program, and community organizations, Dr. Threats will use an information practices approach informed by community-based participatory research to develop an empirical model describing the SDOH-related information needs and practices and conduct a community design workshop to develop a reentry planning guide. The resulting research, methodology, and reentry guide will be made broadly available to other researchers, community organizations, public libraries, and state and local government leaders.
