New York University
Log Number: RE-252375-OLS-22
New York University and the Library Freedom Institute will enhance and scale its ongoing work of privacy awareness and privacy advocacy in the context of professional development for librarians through a two-year project. Regional Library Freedom Project hubs will foster member engagement and create more partnerships. Members also will lead training events and community meetups on practical privacy needs and other library values of intellectual freedom, access, social responsibility, lifelong learning, and the public good. This project will result in more than 120 Library Freedom Project members deepening their privacy skills and their relationships with local communities, as well as a new set of fully open-sourced privacy resources developed by members available online, at the regional hub events, and at professional conferences across the country.
