Note: (a) denotes an amendment made outside of the original awardThis project provides funding and centralized support for participation of state and territorial libraries and Centers for the Book in the 2022 National Book Festival Pavilion of States. The festival is a major literary event in the United States and the pavilion serves as a hub within it. State and territory representatives interact with attendees throughout the daylong festival. The pavilion showcases and promotes public libraries; state and territory authors and literary culture; state and territory library agency programs and services; and literacy and education efforts. It raises awareness of the wide variety of services, content, and practices that enrich and positively impact community life and individual learning through the nation's libraries.
Amendment 2022: $20,000 in additional funds were awarded in 2022 to support increased transportation costs to the National Book Festival in Washington, DC in September 2022.
