Log Number: RE-250055-OLS-21
Arizona State University Library received this grant which was transferred to the University of Arizona. The University of Arizona and its partner organizations, including the Sustainable Heritage Network, the Black Metropolis Research Consortium, the Association of Hawai'i Archivists, Northwest Archivists, Inc., and Amigos Library Services, will develop an innovative training program that will bring together digital preservation experts and cultural heritage practitioners from under-resourced organizations to collaborate in the preparation of digital preservation peer assessments. This project aims to provide practicing librarians and archivists who are struggling to provide ongoing care for their digital collections with an opportunity to learn about digital preservation concepts, as well as the ability to learn about assessment procedures and put them into action in a supportive environment. By learning assessment procedures, they will be able to employ these skills on an ongoing basis.
