UCLA’s School of Information Studies will use its grant to provide tuition and some travel and housing support for 36 mid-career special collections librarians to attend the California Rare Books School (CRBS). A continuing education program sponsored by UCLA, CRBS is one of the few institutions in the United States providing extended, high-level training in the knowledge and skills required by professionals working in all aspects of the rare book, special collections, and archives communities.
