The University of North Texas School of Library and Information Sciences, in collaboration with the Ysleta Independent School District and the El Paso Independent School District, will create, test, and revise Web-based courseware to be used by school librarians throughout the nation in online continuing education for K-12 librarians and staff. This project will result in Web-based courseware on five continuing education topics chosen through a needs assessment process within a large and diverse public school system. It will be evaluated and revised based on outcomes assessments from a large user base. The school districts will have a royalty-free license to offer the courseware to their librarians and library staff. Match: $120,120
