University of Virginia, Rare Book School

The University of Virginia Rare Book School will offer 50 full-tuition scholarships to a diversified range of students for each of the next three years. As one of the few library schools providing systematic training for rare book and special collections librarians and curators, conservators, scholars, and others professionally concerned with the history of printed books and manuscripts, this program will allow the school to increase its current level of scholarship support from fewer than 4 percent to about 15 percent of those attending, increasing the number and diversity of its student body.
