The University of Arizona, School of Information Resources and Library Science, will partner with the University of Arizona Office of Continuing Education and Outreach and the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records to develop and administer a new post-baccalaureate certificate program. Six hundred students will be introduced to the theoretical knowledge, conceptual framework, and practical skills required to create, maintain, and curate collections of digital information. Funding will be used to develop four new courses in digital collection development and curation, to adapt existing courses in digital collections for use within the certificate program, and to recruit and retain a professor.
