The Drexel University College of Information Science and Technology plans to address two needs related to library and information science education in the management of digital information (MDI): (1) developing a robust curriculum on MDI that both builds on the more advanced capabilities of entering students and provides students with the more powerful tools they will need to take advantage of the opportunities in the field, and (2) fostering faculty with the ability to implement such a curriculum. The project will enhance the curricula offered by Drexel's College of Information Science and Technology and the College of Media Arts and Design by enriching existing courses and developing new courses in research methods and digital librarianship.
