This Early Career Development grant to Xiaojun Yuan, an Assistant Professor at the University at Albany, State University of New York, supports research about problems of enhanced query length and enhanced user interaction with digital libraries and other information systems. This project will be conducted over a two-year period and will investigate the effectiveness of using speech and gesture to interact with information systems. The result of the project will be a new model for user interaction with digital libraries.
