Simmons University (Simmons College Libraries)

Simmons College Libraries, in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Boston, will recruit future librarians by providing internships to 144 Massachusetts high school students, focusing on minorities and those who are the first in their families to attend college. The three-year project will build on pilot internship programs to develop a curriculum that could be adapted for any library. Guidance for recruitment, funding, and management of the program will be developed to complement the curriculum. Match: $638,773
