The School of Information Studies (SOIS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will recruit six new PhD students. The resulting cadre of doctoral-educated graduates will serve as role models and will add to the knowledge base of library and information science through their research on overcoming barriers to information access. The career opportunities opened by the project will allow graduates to educate the next generation of library and information professionals about the importance of accessibility in all its forms.
