Association of Research Libraries

Academic research libraries are in need of trained professionals from racial and ethnic minority groups who have the experience and skills to work with music and performing arts collections and scholars. The Association of Research Libraries/Music Library Association Diversity and Inclusion Initiative will provide financial support, a mentoring program, paid internships at partner institutions, and career placement services for a group of 15 master’s students from traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups with educational backgrounds in music. Partners are the Music Library Association, and the music libraries at the University of Pittsburgh, University of Buffalo, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and University of North Texas.
