University of North Texas

The University of North Texas College of Information, Library Science and Technologies and the University Libraries will collaborate with the Pacific Resources for Education and Learning to increase the number and diversity of degreed library professionals for the geographically dispersed and economically depressed area of the U.S.-affiliated Pacific islands. A program will be developed to support indigenous students from this region in a master’s degree program in library and information science utilizing distance learning. Ten students will receive tuition scholarships and culturally relevant support services.
