Association of Research Libraries

The Association of Research Libraries’ Initiative to Recruit a Diverse Workforce will provide financial support, mentoring, leadership development, and career placement services for 30 Master of Library and Information Science students from traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups. Recruitment efforts will be directed toward students with baccalaureate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The goal of the program is to develop well-qualified new professionals from racial and ethnic minority groups who are prepared to address the strategic needs of research libraries in the 21st century.
