San Jose State University (CPGE School of Information)

The San Jose State University School of Library and Information Science and the American Indian Library Association will launch the Circle of Learning project, the only scholarship program designed exclusively for Native students who want to earn a fully online ALA-accredited Master of Library and Information Science degree. Currently less than 0.3 percent of the nation’s librarians are American Indians and Alaska Natives. Through this project, 17 students will receive financial assistance and other support, including mentoring, career advisement, field experiences, and interaction with Native leaders in the profession.
