University of Iowa, School of Library and Information Science

The University of Iowa School of Library and Information Science will collaborate with four units within the University of Iowa--the UI Libraries, Academic Technologies, the WiderNet Project, and the International Writing Program--to recruit and train 20 librarians with a special emphasis on digital librarianship. While earning master’s degrees in library and information science, the recruits will also gain experience by participating in a clinical rotation model and working on specific digital library projects with the partner organizations.
