The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science (UNC SILS) will partner with the Duke University Medical Center Library to recruit two cohorts of medical students into a new dual-degree master's program at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University. In response to a more complex medical information environment, experts with biomedical training as well as information and library science training are needed. Therefore, four physicians will be educated in information and library science to develop as medical informationists. The students will be mentored by two UNC SILS faculty and two Duke Medical Center Library professional librarians. Match: $193,089
