The New York State Library, in collaboration with 13 library systems and 6 schools of library and information science, will create Teaching Libraries across the state to provide practical, hands-on experience for librarian recruits from the system's member libraries. Financial support will be provided to 48 master's-level students who represent diverse groups and who will acquire competencies for serving diverse populations. Match: $645,058
