University of Houston, Clear Lake, School of Library and Information Sciences

The University of Houston - Clear Lake School of Information and Library Science Program, in partnership with five school districts and the Harris County Department of Education, will prepare 30 school librarians to serve in schools with large Hispanic populations. Candidates will be of Hispanic origin or will have experience working with Hispanic populations. The project will also provide professional development, increase community communication and collaboration, and disseminate information on meeting the needs of Hispanic students. Match: $541,679
