Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation

The Basic grant will be used to build and provide culturally relevant materials and resources that contribute to the understanding, protection and perpetuation of the cultural knowledge of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation through Tamástslikt Cultural Institute’s Research Library & Archive (RLA). The RLA will expand services for learning, access to information and educational resources in a variety of formats including print material, establish a web presence and maintaining electronic linkages to collections of material not locally held. Funds will also be utilized to promote and encourage professional development and networking opportunities for RLA staff by attending a Library or Archives conference.
