Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians

The focus for this Basic Grant Community Outreach/Audience Development., including increasing accessibility of the collection of culturally-relevant materials through online/electronic resources via a new Kindle lending program, digital library consortium membership, Surpass software subscription, mass texting services, and mobile check out equipment. Library staff will also increase accessibility by enhancing Little Free Libraries throughout tribal properties. In addtion, community programming will be increased through the creation of a reading incentive program for tribal citizens; implementation of a winter time traditional storytelling series; and providing materials to support literacy and academic success of K-12 students in our community through a back to school event.
