Sitting Bull College Library will use the Basic grant to bolster its museum and archival capacities through the purchase of hardware, furnishings and supplies that will improve existing facilities for longterm stewardship of the library's growing collection of archival and museum items. Over the past decade, the library has received many items that are outside the scope of a traditional library. The funds from the 2018 IMLS Basic Grant will be used to perform a number of baseline activities in the library that will lay the groundwork for future stewardship and development of the collections.
