Ute Mountain Ute Tribe

The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe will purchase books, magazine subscriptions, research items, and DVDs to update the White Mesa Library’s existing collection for use by the community. With a strategic emphasis on expanding its Native American collection, the library seeks to meet the cultural and educational needs of its patrons. The library will also provide online tutoring via Brainfuse and Brainfuse JobNow to assist students and career-seeking individuals. A portion of funds will also enable staff to attend the annual Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums conference for networking and training opportunities. The project will provide direct benefit to the community within its project service area.
