White Mountain Apache Tribe

The White Mountain Apache Tribe will enhance staffing and professional development across their library system in Whiteriver, Cibecue, and McNary, Arizona. Funds will support hiring a library assistant for the McNary Community Library, librarians’ membership to the Arizona Library Association, and travel for its library workforce to skill-enhancing professional development meetings and conferences. Funds will also support purchasing new library materials, primarily the Arizona Republic newspaper which has been requested by patrons. By offering increased McNary Community Library hours, improved children's programming, enhanced computer assistance, and staff professional development, the project will strengthen the libraries as vital educational and cultural resources within the community.
