Susanville Indian Rancheria

The Susanville Indian Rancheria Education Center in Susanville, California will continue to provide after-school tutoring and summer enrichment programming for transitional kindergarten through twelfth grade connected to library resources and activities that promote STEM hands-on engagement and cultural awareness. The after-school program with trained tutors/mentors provides Native American students extra support for developing their reading and math skills and completing school assignments and projects to succeed in school and decrease the achievement gap between American Indian/ Alaska Natives and grade-level peers. The library will add activities and resources to continue to explore gardening and science with a hands-on learning approach.
