Gun Lake Tribe

The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians will improve opportunities for learning and accessing information and support its core library services. The Tribe will continue to build its Home Library Program, which supports youth education by providing book packages to children 0 to 18 years old that are tailored for their literacy level and interests. The Tribe will also expand physical and digital collections. Finally, the Tribe will support staff professional development by supporting participation in the Southwest Michigan Library Cooperative and maintaining memberships with the American Library Association and the Association for Rural and Small Libraries. The project will provide core library services and enable the Tribe to meet the educational, informational, and cultural needs of all Tribal citizens.
