Mohegan Tribe

Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut will support staff training, collections acquisition and storage, and programming. Subscriptions to online research collections will enable Mohegan tribal members to perform research for school or personal interests and enables staff to support Cultural programs. The library will also host its virtual monthly book club for tribal members who live locally and abroad. Additionally, the project will provide storage for a collection of over 100 paintings depicting Eastern Woodland native scenes, portraits of tribal chiefs and other important figures, and scenes from the Pequot War. The project will also provide professional development for staff by supporting travel to the annual Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums conference. The project will provide direct benefit to the tribal citizens within its project service area.
