Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation
Log Number: NAB-256431-OLS-24
The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation will purchase approximately 100 new books, expanding the reference library for all Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Language Learning Center visitors. The new materials will aid research for those learning and studying the Potawatomi language and culture. Additionally, it will also provide professional development for staff by supporting travel to the annual Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums conference, where staff can network with organizations offering support for indigenous museums, libraries, archives, and tribes in general. Increasing access to Native American Language and Culture resources volumes will allow researchers and learners to compare sister languages within the Algonquian family, aiding in revitalizing the Potawatomi Language and Culture. The project will provide direct benefit to the tribal citizens within its service area.
