Seldovia Village Tribe

The Seldovia Villiage Tribe will continue to expand its tribal lending library collecton and increase the number of readers across age groups. The tribal lending library offers a collection of Alaska Native books on culture and heritage, with the goal of keeping stories and traditions alive. It provides tools and space to help old and new community members learn, teach, share, and experience together. In support of the art of reading, listening, and storytelling, funds will be used to create a dedicated community learning center within the library, allowing more space for the staff to host various events for children and youth to hear stories from Elders and other adults through reading, storytelling, multimedia, or traditional Alaska Native art forms.
